FCPAmericas1The FCPAméricas Blog seeks a part-time Blog Manager to help lead one of the most-read anti-corruption legal blogs on the internet – currently averaging thousands of visits per month.

The FCPAméricas Blog is a go-to resource for anti-corruption professionals throughout the hemisphere. It provides commentary and analysis from experienced practitioners on anti-corruption developments in Latin America. The blog focuses primarily on compliance and enforcement issues related to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and is the only FCPA resource that provides regular content in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

The Blog Manager position is a unique opportunity for a student, young lawyer, or compliance professional looking to make contacts, burnish FCPA credentials, contribute posts on a respected platform, and generally gain exposure to anti-corruption topics. The ideal candidate will have excellent written English, and a strong interest in anti-corruption issues. The ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese will be a significant benefit.

The Blog Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  1. Working with anti-corruption practitioners throughout the Americas to develop blog content.
  2. Managing website operations, including posting new blog posts each week and coordinating responses to comments.
  3. Promoting blog material by managing Twitter and LinkedIn accounts and sending monthly email lists.
  4. Maintaining relationships with current advertisers, and seeking new advertisers.
  5. Managing technical issues related to the website.

The ideal candidate for Blog Manager will have the following attributes:

  • Excellent English writing and communications skills
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and Portuguese
  • Social media savvy
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Familiarity with international anti-corruption rules, like FCPA, UKBA, regional laws
  • Entrepreneurial and independent.

The Blog Manager position will require approximately 10-15 hours a week. The Blog Manager will work remotely and will be paid a stipend, with a bonus possible. Applications should be submitted by May 1, 2014, and applicants should be prepared to submit references.
